Fascinated with Red

I have recent fascination with red, either with dress, shoes, bags or just about anything. I was surfing the whole afternoon, looking for a perfect dress style for an upcoming wedding we would be attending in Baguio and all the ones that caught my fancy are RED HOT dresses!

I love the ruchings of these dresses!  I think it would make me look slim! But with just a week to go, I doubt if I can still have any of this made!

Might just wear my existing YELLOW gown!  Bwahaha, ang gulo ko!

The Revelations…

of my purchases from the recent Singapore trip are now here. I think, this was one of my most expensive trips! Ok, I made sure to save a lot for this trip and I have alloted a budget for myself!

Let me just itemize the purchases on our 1st and 2nd day…

1. Bvlgari Perfume
2. 2 flat shoes from Charles and Keith
3. Some casual tees from Baleno
4. A nice formal blouse (local brand) from Isetann

On our 3rd day, I was restless already as I haven’t bought any “major” thing yet. I was really hoping to get a sneak peek in Gucci and LV. So when I left Dicky in the hotel, which he agreed and wanted, I went right away in Takashimaya to get a glimpse of my eye candies in LV! I was sad cause of too many people, I cannot concentrate! (parang palengke!).  I went out of the store!

I saw Kate Spade and DKNY inside the Takashimaya department store. Wow, sale! I almost bought two items! But, control, control! I bought a kate spade already from ebay so I should just wait for it. I was looking for Long Champ on the second floor.  Saw it finally but too bad, they don’t have the colors that I want. The saleslady told me to check in Paragon.

I rushed and immediately crossed the street to get to Paragon. First stop, Gucci. There were some sale items. I checked and checked. I almost bought again! Ok, but still not convinced! I went ahead to look for Long Champ. I saw the store. Perfect! I saw the color and size I wanted. Well, not actually the color cause I want the navy blue but instead got the lighter one cause the darker blue is not available. Here’s what I got:

Happy, happy, happy. I wanted this bag even before for my casual clothings.  Perfect shopping bag!

Ok, but I still have the urge to bring home an LV! So I decided to walk back towards our hotel and check DFS Galleria where an LV store is also located. I was hoping that there would be lesser people there so I can really choose what I want. There it goes, I was happy to be able to move around the store and carefully select.

My options:

1. Hampstead PM in Damier
2. Alma in Epi
3. Bellevue Vernis
4. Beauborg in Damier
4. Montorgueil GM

Compute, compute! Still can’t decide. Went ahead to check out wallets this time. Been really meaning to buy one as well. I fell in love with Porte Tresor International. Compute, compute! Lovely, I bought it in a snap!

Then I went to check again the bags. I don’t know what happened to me but parang nahypnotized ako ng Montorgueil GM. It felt right on my shoulder and the size is perfect for me!….(hihihi!)

Yes, I got it as well!

Happy, happy, happy again! Who will not be?

Went out of the store already right after! My card was executed with those two purchases! lol!

Instead of going back to our hotel room, I was left with about 45 minutes still before Dicky and I was scheduled to meet so I decided to head back to Paragon. Hmmm, seems like I’m going to buy a Gucci bag, but no, I didn’t! Instead, I saw Furla at the 3rd floor, i think. I was looking for the red bag that I really want to use as a laptop bag but it was not available. But it was a store-wide sale so my eyes were also wide-open that time!

I checked and checked again! Gosh, the prices are a lot cheaper than getting it here in Manila. Compare, compare! Really cheaper by almost 50% and it was on sale! I have been meaning to really get the classic Furla tote bag for months now everytime I see it in Shangrila Mall so getting it in Singapore was just so perfect. I was deciding to get either the black or the red one. Of course, the black is always been classic and easy to match with clothes but the red one is just so irresistable. The saleslady noticed that I can’t figure out which one to get, so she offered to give an additional 10% from the total! That made me decide to get both! So impulsive of me!  Ok, explanation: these Furla bags were almost 65% cheaper than the rates here in Manila when I computed because of the discounts I got plus the GST refund so who can’t resist those? Those were surely good buys! (i know, I am just defending here! lol)

I’m one big shopaholic and an ultimate bag hag!  I have to put the LongChamp bag I bought inside the LV Bag so Dicky won’t notice that I actualy bought 4 bags!  But he was then suprised to see me carrying 3 paper bags when we met infront of Paragon.  I just smiled and walked away.  He can’t complain enough.

Sabi ko na lang “pagbigyan mo na ako!”  and he answered “ano pa nga ba?”

Gracious!  I’m happy with all my loots!

Gaming with Amanda

Since I was all affected with rankings and all, I decided to just let go and let loose last weekend. I spent quality time with family, with the kids and Dicky. I had an event last saturday and so Dicky used Amanda to download some mac games from Phelios. He then showed me a great new mac game that he got. So off to my in-laws place yesterday, Dicky and I played this new game the whole afternoon while the kids are asleep. It is one of the newest rpg games available from Phelios, which can give you a step-by-step procedure to download the game and even give a tutorial about the game itself. Now, that is bonding! lol!

Playing cards online

We slept late last night. Instead of watching DVDs, Dicky and I tried playing Mac Poker using Amanda. This is actually one of the games he downloaded from the internet. It is sometimes hard to look for a site to play online poker but he found this Pacific Poker online.

He even reviewed the Poker Stars which is laid out better than any other online poker available. This can be accessed just by hovering the mouse over the top of the buttons of the page. Everything is organized and doesn’t hog the memory of any computer. There is even Fulltilt Poker that has tied up with Mac Poker Online to offer readers some bonus code. We are actually getting addicted in playing different games with Amanda especially now that Dicky has some free time.  Dicky has been patient to teach me the rules of the game and I must admit, it is a pretty interesting one.  Although I still need to get used with the combinations, I need to familiarize myself about it.  It’s purely for fun.  No intention to do it as gambling though.

Mall Hit Today – July 23

MC Home Depot Ortigas

Ok, I still consider this as a mall anyway (lol!).  I went here with my mom to help her find some new planters. When we arrived, we were directed to shops where they sell landscaping and gardening materials. But my mom saw some particular decorative planters that my sister-in-law showed her online.  She said she saw nice indoor planters, outdoor planters, garden planters, window box planters and was even hoping she could find those high end planters. She actually brought pictures of these planters when we went to MC Home Depot.

We were arguing already while we were on one of the shops because she can’t figure out what she wants. Actually, she can’t find the items she was looking for based on the pictures she brought but I was telling her to just choose among the selections. Now, there it goes and shows, where I also got that attitude of being indecisive especially in shopping. So I called up my sister-in-law and asked her as to where she got the pictures she showed my mom. My sister-in-law said she saw it from Planterixchange, which offers high quality residential and commercial planters. No wonder why the items my mom was rooting are nice pieces. This online store offers the widest selection of any kind of planters. From my mom’s selection, it even includes product descriptions of each and its prices.  And since we can’t find anything that closely match to the ones she likes, we went home empty handed, with no single planter on hand.   We weren’t able to buy any of what she wants.  No decorative planter for our kitchen. No new indoor planter for our  door. No new outdoor planter for the porch. No garden planter for the garden. No window box planter by the kitchen window. And no high end planter that she really wants. Would likely just order it online and ask a cousin to box it for us to send back home, because my mom is dead set in just getting those.

Gee, she’s also hardcore in shopping!

Mall Hit Today – July 22

No, I didn’t go out to shop today.  I just went to the mall for a meeting!

Shangrila Mall - most of the stores I saw are on sale like Nine West, Escada, Marks and Spencer, Boss, Furla, Debenhams. Ok, I just stayed on that area, 2nd or 3rd floor?  I was refraining from moving around as I have no plans of buying anything for the next couple of weeks or probably even months!  (help me!) Enough of my shopping spree in Singapore.  But I also saw that  RUSTANS is on sale!  Gosh, I saw nice plates (yes, plato! I’m also interested with household stuff you know) on sale!

The sales are running until August 2!

On Teeth Whitening!

Last week, while having a meeting in one of the hotels in the country, some girls are giving away a loot bag from a prestigous cosmetic salon in the city.   I and one of my staff, together with a client were one of the priviledged few who got the loot bag including this:

:

The bag includes a T-shirt, a Gift Certificate (above picture) that would be worth a facial service from their salon and also lots of their services’ brochures. Hmm, I should try to use the GC soon. But what caught my fancy is their dental services. I was suprised that they also offer dental cosmetic. I have few brides who are actually bugging me to research on this thing. I actually inquired over the phone and was totally suprised as well for the steep price of their services. I think it is overly priced. Well, that is my opinion. So what I did is to ask from a dentist friend for some alternative for teeth whitening products. She told me to check out Smile Warehouse which is a well known online shop for all dental needs. And there I saw indeed that they have very reasonably-priced whitening toothpaste for as low as $6.95. I am amazed with the variety of dental products that they offer online. They have all the latest items for all oral hygiene needs. In fact, most US dentists prefer ordering from them since they offer everything at a warehouse price and even provide a timely shipping.

And for my brides who needs instant teeth whitening, I would recommend Zoom Touch-Up Kit, which is a bleaching gel that has been proven to whiten teeth up to six shades in only 3 nights!  I would recommend using this like 1-2 weeks before the wedding.  This product is a very good option for person, (like a bride) who just needs a little touching up before the big day.  And with its rate of just $22.95, it’s a definitely a great steal.

And for anyone looking for cutting-edge dental products, I highly recommend that you check this.

Let’s talk about stainless!

Never got the chance to go to Ikea in Singapore. Too bad.  So I just fancied in drooling on these great products for the house which I found today.

I have never seen fireplaces like these before. But these are both beautiful I must say. These stainless steel fireplace accessories are availble from Blomus. They have great stainless steel products both for outdoor like the blomus stainless steel mailboxes and for indoor like the blomus stainless steel fireplace accessories like the pictures above. The stainless steel mailbox that they have is an ideal element for a modern design house like what we are planning to have. (Cross fingers)  Hubby is reviewing again our excel files and we might push through in building the dreamhouse already this year!  (pray, pray, pray!)

Blomus have a variety of products that are all available online. I have never seen as many stainless steel products as what they have. Anything you will need from the smallest details like hooks, signages, for decoration like tea light holders, lamps and even frames.  They also have items for dining and cooking.  Oh, and I love those stainless steel planters that they have. Everything can be browsed from their site and you can even use their search tab to look for anything you might need.  Look at some of their wonderful products that I would like to have!
