As I celebrate my birthday tomorrow, I decided to get myself a good investment. After carefully reviewing my options and looking at www.wholesaleinsurance.net, I decided to get another insurance coverage coupled with a mutual fund investment. My husband was very happy with my decision and truly supports me with this venture. I realized, I need to save up big time if I plan to retire early from my work. I should start working on my retirement fund. I found the best option for me and decided to get in before I turn 3_ this year! Happy Birthday to me!

Stressed! So I want to go to HK! Lol! Hong Kong has always been my royal retreat. I have been convincing my husband if we could still squeeze in another trip to Hong Kong within the year but I just got a shrug on the shoulder. My brother’ family is going this July and hoping we could join them. I am sure my nephews will love it there and would even consider buying their loots like PC games and steiner binoculars. Still collecting some more charge slips from HSBC credit card so we can avail of the Cathay Pacific round trip tickets. Let’s see by end of the month if I can pull in 2 more RT tickets

As I was looking for brochures printing stores in the mall yesterday, I came across this beautiful satchel bag. It’s the Cambridge bag. This brand is gaining popularity recently in the country. I have seen a couple of girls carrying the bag. I am actually thinking to get the red batchel (with handle) at 15″ as it fits a Macbook Pro. I need a very sturdy and nice looking travel bag to lodge my laptop. I saw one in one of the branches of Chocolate Shu Bar and its actually waiting for my reservation. Let’s see if I am going to buy it.

I wonder where I could get those discount avo cigars? I have a client-groom who wants me to check out available cigars as their wedding souvenirs for the men. He wants to give big packs as well to the Principal Sponsors and male entourage. I wonder if all of his friends do smoke cigar. But he insist on having a cigar station too where guests can just get from the table. Oh, I bet it is one smoky evening for that event!

Before I research on tech jobs that could be available online for my cousin who recently graduated this year, let me share this new gadget i got…

Got this the very first week that it was launched in Apple distributor shops. I initially said I am not going to buy but when someone got interested with my iPad first gen, I immediately reserved a unit for me. Thank goodness, there was one left in iStudio in greenhills. It was meant to be. My other iPad was sold in less than 30 minutes in Twitterlandia. How I love my friends there who buys so quickly with anything you can sell
So happy with this lighter iPad. Still got the 64gb in 3gs. And of course, I got the smart cover too in my favorite color…

I have heard a number of good reviews on this Vietnamese restaurant in Tagaytay. On our last weekend anniversary getaway, I decided to reserve for our Saturday lunch in Bawai’s Restaurant. I made a call the Monday before and was surprised to learn that they are already fully booked so they were just offering me to take a late lunch of 130pm. Since I really wanted to try it, I accepted the offer. They sent me via SMS messages their menu saying that we can already order prior so they can prepare the food already and be served right away. I replied back with my orders but didn’t get a confirmation if they got it.
That late Saturday morning, we headed to Tagaytay. We were already starving when we got in the restaurant around 120pm. The front of the restaurant (which looks like a house) was full of cars, an indication that there were lots of people dining in.
We were ushered in a small cabana with about 2 tables. 1 table was already occupied by three girls. We were led to the other table. We were left there and waiting for someone to come and hand to us a copy of the menu. But it was taking a while that my husband have to get up and talk to someone from outside. Apparently, they took note of our order already via SMS message too and they were already preparing it to be served.
Soon enough, our orders were served. But we still requested for a copy of their menu so we could add a soup.
We started off with the salad and the appetizer…

Goi Thit Tom
It is Shrimp and Pork with Lotus and Summer Vegetables. Superb crispiness of the vegetables. And I love the somehow sweet and sour sauce. A must-try!

Goi Cuon
Of course, you are not eating in a Vietnamese Restaurant if you won’t try Vietnamese Fresh Roll with Pork Strip and Shrimp and Veggies. This is so yummy! See that fresh shrimp right on top? And it comes with the perfect peanut sauce.

Pho Bo
The beef is so tender and the soup is so tasty. Another best seller – Beef Noodle Soup

Com Tam Bi
Grilled Pork Rib with Vietnamese Omelet serve with Rice – the pork rib is also tender and juicy. I like the omelet too.

Bo Kho
This is Vietnamese Beef Stew serve with Rice. I love how stewed it is and a perfect combination to the plain rice. This is a very yummy dish.
Overall, we enjoyed our hearty lunch. We also ordered their Pandan iced tea which is a very refreshing drink. I highly recommend ordering it. The prices are affordable too. You won’t regret dining here. We weren’t able to try their desserts as we were already so full and cannot wait to just rest in Discovery Country Suites. But I think there will be a next time as we do intend to go back to this restaurant.
For reservation, you may call 0920-9722924.
Location: From SLEX take Sta Rosa exit, then to the Highway going to Tagaytay, go straight till you see Tagaytay City Market on your right, then turn right, go straight, watch/look for Dominican House of Prayer Sign (approximately 1km away) then turn right. Go straight till you see BAWAIS sign on your right (approximately 1.9km away), then turn right, go straight till you see Bawai’s Restaurant on your left. Do not expect to really see a restaurant as it really looks like a house from outside.

I wonder where to buy a GPS for the car. Is it already available in the country? I saw from a friend the zumo motorcycle gps but he cannot direct me where to get the one for the car. I wanted to get one to install in our van so it could help the driver when we ask him to go to a certain place to pick us up. I hope the ones available are accurate and have really good instructional device along the roads.

I give this quiant, lovely bed and breakfast hotel in Tagaytay –> 5stars! I planned for this quick getaway for me and my husband as an advance weekend celebration of our 9th year wedding anniversary. And I made the right choice of choosing Discovery Country Suites. I wanted intially to stay in The Boutique but then Deal Grocer website came out with a very nice promotion. The room that is part of the deal is just the Ceylon so I decided to upgrade it. It was definitely a good choice for the Nara. We love all the interior decorations of the room, the elevated middle part where the bed is situated, the day bed, the sliding door, the mats, the pebbled floors. Everything is beautiful.

They offer an afternoon snacks in the lobby lounge where you can have your pieces of cheese and bread while sipping either a red or white wine. Then you can just relax in the their cozy couches while taking a view of Taal Lake.

All the staff address you by name. Since they only have about 7 different suites, I guess it is really easy for them to memorize all their guests. So they called me “Mrs. Liwanag.” It was a fitting notation for me since after all, I am Mrs, Liwanag, celebrating our wedding anniversary then.
They have a small cabinet where you could get and borrow some few books and even DVDs. Yes, there is a DVD Player in the room and even an iPod dock.
Before we retired that night, bite-size cookies and hot milk were delivered to our room. Such a great take to calm you down all throughout the night.
We love the experience. We love that we have celebrated our anniversary there. In fact, we are surely to come back.

I bumped into an old-time friend about a month ago and have really noticed the change on her skin. I mean, it became clearer, fresher and she looks younger from the last time we met. I totally cannot hold back but I just had to ask her on how to remove pimples? She used to have acne and was so surprised how she has totally improved her look. She told me that getting the right skin care is actually a trial and error thing. She had to try different products before she finally like the one she is currently using. She recommended it to me and in no time, I went to the store to get these…

With a month of use, I have noticed the improvement too so I guess I am sticking to this product for quite some time.
