Easter is coming!

Easter is coming! What are your plans for the holy week? We have never learned our lesson. I actually didn’t plan anything for the holy week since I got busy with the preparation for my daughter’s 7th party. The party was a success. Now that is another story. But for the meantime, we are looking on what to do for easter. I came across these site: http://www.berries.com and I found so cool giveaways or gifts for our loved ones in celebration of Easter. Our family will probably just have lunch in a fancy restaurant and head home so the kids can play easter egg hunting. I wish I can order from the site these yummy berries like this:

Yummy Mangoes!

So before I head out to the hardware to look for the eye bolts that my husband is asking me to check, let me feast on these yummy mangoes first! I was lucky to get sweet mangoes from a seller outside our village. The kids also tried to make some ice candies out of the mangoes I bought and they love to snack on it every afternoon. This is one of the things I love about summer, these delicious mangoes that are widely available in the country.

Oh well, going back to my errand. The husband who is currently out of town would like me to check out some items in the hard ware so he can fix all those for repairs in the house while its holy week break in the coming days.

Gold, the classic ring…

Most men will look at simple gold rings when they are engaged to get married. They usually don’t go for the flashy bling type of products that are out there. Most of the times a simple style in your ring will make it more comfortable to wear and to show to your friends. Gold has been used for a very long time for jewelry. The ancient Aztec people loved to use gold for jewelry. Gold was so abundant to them that they would even paint it. I couldn’t imagine having that much gold. I guess if you had that much gold you could buy any modern day convenience. What a good problem to have.

Gold is at all time record highs per ounce. This is causing a lot of people to look at other metals for their wedding bands. Last week I saw dome cobalt rings on display at the local jeweler. These rings looked great. The actually looked identical to me to the platinum rings on display. I thought to myself why would anyone buy a platinum ring when they can just as easily get this cobalt chrome wedding band and have the same exact look. I guess some people have more disposable income than others.

Hello February! Whew! Where did January go? I can’t believe it is already the 2nd month of the year but grateful that I survived the very busy first month of the year. Thankful to the One up there for giving me all the strength to get through all the stress. Now, looking forward to this love month of February. I am very hopeful for 2012. It started off with a good business for me. I am hoping we could afford to buy gold bars already this year, lol! But kidding aside, I look forward to wonderful people who bring forth positive vibes for me. Bring it on February!

The girls had so much fun when they last saw their cousin, Bea. We met them the day after we arrived from US and they just one whole day of being together. They were inseparable. They just love playing together. I hope they would continue to be close to each other even when they grow old. I hope they could still be best of friends by then in between school, career or even boys! Jokingly, my SIL and I were saying we won’t let them take a peek first to some free dating online. We would rather keep them as our baby as long as we can.

I wonder where I could get cd duplication service? I have few home-shoot videos which I need to save and burn in CDs. I want to save up these videos as I am sure my kids would love to watch their special moments even when they grow up. A client is also asking me if they can give out their prenup videos as their save-the-date videos for their guests. It is entirely a brilliant idea. Now, I do not know of a supplier who could do it. Any leads can help.

Happy to note that my cousin got of the Network Administrator Jobs in Microsoft. I know how hard it is to get a very good job nowadays because of stiff competition but so glad he was able to grab that opportunity. He will actually be flying to US by 2012 to get his training. On another news, I am glad that my 7 other photo books have been delivered already. It came in very late. Waited for these for like 2 months. But I am finally happy that everything is still intact.

Oh! I’m getting hooked with Adele. It started when I was trying to download video from YouTube for a corporate event we are working on. I heard the song as being used for the video and I got instantly hooked with her. I love her songs, getting me into sentimental mode all the time. Now, I can’t help but listen to her all the time. In fact, I got her latest album from a music store yesterday.

iPhone 5 Release…

I wonder if it’s true that iPhone5 will be released before the year ends. In fact, in most Apple Forums, there’s a big rumor that it will be launched by next month, September. Based on what I read, pre-orders will be taken starting September 30 and the official launch will be on October 7. I’m sure it will be a big hit again. Of course, I am considering again to own one. I’m a certified Apple user and I love all my Apple gadgets. So now, I will defer first buying a new iphone case for my iPhone4 cause who knows I might be able to get an iPhone 5 as well before the year ends! That would be wonderful, isn’t?

I am so inspired to do more photo books and finish the rest of my back logs especially on travel photos when my new set of books arrived today. I am actually waiting for 7 more! You can see in my checkout page here.

Oh yes, I am addicted to Artscow. It’s as easy as dragging and dropping the pictures to their sample templates. So easy to do plus everything is online. I can even pay using my paypal account. They don’t need a barcode scanner anymore. It so convenient to keep memories this time. Thank you to my online friends who inspired me to do this too. I want to have a library of my photo books!

I wonder where I could get those discount avo cigars? I have a client-groom who wants me to check out available cigars as their wedding souvenirs for the men. He wants to give big packs as well to the Principal Sponsors and male entourage. I wonder if all of his friends do smoke cigar. But he insist on having a cigar station too where guests can just get from the table. Oh, I bet it is one smoky evening for that event!

March must be good to me. Started the year by booking a client from overseas. I’m glad that we are getting a number of clients based abroad. Our tag line of “coordinating weddings of Filipinos worldwide” is really working. Most of my clients who are based in US and UK are from health care jobs. These are working professionals like doctors, nurses, physical therapists, medical technologists who actually wanted to go back to the country and celebrate with their families and friends from here their beautiful union. Such thing is really good for the wedding industry and to the country’s economy as well. I hope to bag more new clients on that field.

Instead of taking diet pills to lose weight, this herbal tea is a regular staple in our breakfast in the morning…

My brother introduced us to such and it really brings an amazing healing to bring down his creatine level. This soursop tea can actually treat heart problems, asthma, liver problems and arthritis. It is also good to lower down blood pressure. Hope this tea will really make wonders. Need to get healthy. That’s a resolution for 2011 which I do not want to break.

Career Improvement…

It was a great 2010 for me last year. And this year is starting right with the influx of events just for this month. I am grateful for all the blessings. This is what I really love about my job, there is always room for enchacement and improvement. In the next couple of months, I am thinking to check out the online degree programs available related to my career. This would be in connection with the 5-year plan the husband and I have been thinking. Yes, we just finished a couple of days back our annual planning session and further education for both of us is something we are looking at. I think it isn’t too late still. Now, I am getting excited.

I so love my iPhone! I love all the applications loaded to it. I can check my FB, tweet, flickr pictures and at the same time play some games during my idle time. I have few e-books downloaded as well. I also love the feature of taking my own pictures and just uploading it to share in FB or Twitter. I actually haven’t updated yet the software since I really need time to sit down on it. But for now, I am thinking to get an insurance for my phone after reading through a site about iphone 4 insurance. Though I don’t have plans of buying yet an iPhone4, an insurance for my existing one would be a wise idea.
