It’s just two months before my daughter’s 7th Birthday and I haven’t planned anything yet! The only think I have is actually the venue. I need to talk to a couple of suppliers and finalize my bookings. I cannot wait for January to finsih with my 5 more events until end of the month. My dear Margaux wants a Rockstar Princess party. I need to book the caterer, the stage and decors supplier, sound system and lights which should include a good numark mixtrack pro that the DJ requires as his ready equipment in order for him to play great music for the party. With all other things in mind, I can’t get myself to focus for the planning. I think I should really start working on these. Maybe, I should have a list first. Let me begin now!

So it’s officially September! One month from now will be the Halloween Season and then there’s the much-awaited Christmas Season. Oh, this reminds me that I have not finished my long list for christmas shopping. I can’t believe that 2012 is just about 4 months from now. After New Year, here Valentine’s Day 2012 will be the next Season. Wow! Time flies really fast! There are just so many happenings coming from one season to another. I need to keep up with the photo books I am making as I still have a number of backlogs to work on. So good luck to me

It’s just 4 months before the season so it’s time to make a long list for Christmas. I have finished some of my list as I mentioned previously that I am starting to work on it already. Now, I am working on the list of family and friends who i wish to send out Christmas Cards. There are beautiful season cards from Paper Culture online. Oh, I can even have a customized design with our family picture as the cover. I’m sure our families and friends abroad will love it. I better set a schedule so we can go have a nice family picture.

As I celebrate my birthday tomorrow, I decided to get myself a good investment. After carefully reviewing my options and looking at www.wholesaleinsurance.net, I decided to get another insurance coverage coupled with a mutual fund investment. My husband was very happy with my decision and truly supports me with this venture. I realized, I need to save up big time if I plan to retire early from my work. I should start working on my retirement fund. I found the best option for me and decided to get in before I turn 3_ this year! Happy Birthday to me!

I give this quiant, lovely bed and breakfast hotel in Tagaytay –> 5stars! I planned for this quick getaway for me and my husband as an advance weekend celebration of our 9th year wedding anniversary. And I made the right choice of choosing Discovery Country Suites. I wanted intially to stay in The Boutique but then Deal Grocer website came out with a very nice promotion. The room that is part of the deal is just the Ceylon so I decided to upgrade it. It was definitely a good choice for the Nara. We love all the interior decorations of the room, the elevated middle part where the bed is situated, the day bed, the sliding door, the mats, the pebbled floors. Everything is beautiful.

They offer an afternoon snacks in the lobby lounge where you can have your pieces of cheese and bread while sipping either a red or white wine. Then you can just relax in the their cozy couches while taking a view of Taal Lake.

All the staff address you by name. Since they only have about 7 different suites, I guess it is really easy for them to memorize all their guests. So they called me “Mrs. Liwanag.” It was a fitting notation for me since after all, I am Mrs, Liwanag, celebrating our wedding anniversary then.
They have a small cabinet where you could get and borrow some few books and even DVDs. Yes, there is a DVD Player in the room and even an iPod dock.
Before we retired that night, bite-size cookies and hot milk were delivered to our room. Such a great take to calm you down all throughout the night.
We love the experience. We love that we have celebrated our anniversary there. In fact, we are surely to come back.

She celebrated her 6th Birthday party in school about 12 days earlier. I practically prepared everything last week of February already. I wanted her to have a morning tea party so when the teacher offered that she celebrates it on their last day, I immediately grabbed the opportunity. It will be a perfect theme since they will have a picnic in the garden.
Her sample invitation was posted here.
I am proud of what i have prepared for her party. Here are the details:
The hats…these were different colored hats given to the classmates.

Her lootbox and what’s inside…

The cake and the cupcakes…

The mugs and the juices…the mugs were also souvenirs.

The birthday girl enjoyed her party very much.

It was a great way to celebrate with her classmates in Kindergarten. Next year, birthday parties are no longer allowed in grade school level

Sorry for the blurry pictures but the above boxes were the fireworks that the husband bought in time for welcoming 2011. We got it few days before new year’s even and I can’t believe how much we spent for it. The husband increased his budget from last year’s. Well, he was kidding when he said that he will rather spend for it more than those best weight loss supplements, lol! He said he doesn’t need it anyway. Oh, I really hope he won’t as he said he is decided to shape up this year. I am just praying that he will be true to his words.

I am still not done with my christmas shopping. I think I need to allot few more days to actually finish everything. I am loosing some ideas on what to give to teenage nephews. Any suggestions? I saw some nice jackets from Jimmy Jazz. I wonder if my nephews would actually like those coogi clothing but they are just so cute. In fact, they offer great discounts and even guarantees that items would be shipped before christmas. I particularly love their men’s outwears. Saw something that my husband would even like.

It was full under the christmas tree…

The kids had a blast opening their gifts the morning of christmas day! They received lots of gifts from their godparents so as from family and friends. Will blog about it separately.
We also distributed most of our gifts to our families and friends during our christmas party reunions.
And oh, Husband and I also got few nice gifts!
It was a happy christmas!

It’s officially christmas in the house. We are ready to receive guests for the 6 parties we would have this month of December. Yeah, 6. And 3 of which would be this week already. So imagine how busy I could be this week. We have one already starting tomorrow, another one on friday night and one on Saturday. This are all happening in between my very busy schedule with work.
I haven’t taken picture yet of what the husband did for the christmas lights outside the garden but I’m happy to share our christmas decors inside the house. Since it’s our first christmas celebration in the house, I painstakingly took the effort to shop for all the items. All were up before we left for Guam as my sister-in-law threw a suprise birthday party for my brother last November 21 while we were in Guam. A number of their visitors complimented the decors…

Advance Merry Christmas to all!

We took advantage of the holiday last monday, November 2 to go to 168 mall to purchase lootbags and some prizes for Bianca’s party in school tomorrow. Apparently, we were able to see few christmas decors as well so we did purchase. My husband also got christmas lights already. I almost can’t imagine how much he has spent for those christmas lights in rolls. The ones in like the plastic hose as he plans to put lights on our entire lawn area.
We then headed to Megamall to buy our new christmas tree. We haven’t put up yet though. Will wait for next weekend. We also bought the decors to put for the tree plus all other decors for our side tables, living room centertable, vases, candles, new throw pillow cases. We went home that our car was almost full. Counting back, I gaspped at the thought of how much we spent just for that day.
We have started to put some already today in time for my dear Bianca’s bday. I am seeing that I still lack some actually so I would probably hit the mall again this coming weekend. We have decided for the traditional color scheme this year, RED and GOLD. So it would be easy to keep all those we bought for next year since it’s very conventional. Yeah, we should repeat use of it as it ain’t all cheap!

Will post next time the pictures of the house in christmas season already!

celebration yesterday went well. Guess where we went? SM Megamall to buy the little girls their bikes! Margaux has been urging and urging for a week now that she wants an “orange” (her fave color) bike. But there’s no available orange so we just got her a pink motorbike which is rechargable. We also got Bianca a small red bike. They were ecstatic and was eager to go home right after buying the new toys. It was jam-packed in SM Megamall because of the 3-day sale. We took advantage cause we got those bikes for 20% off. Great savings! We brought them home after and the husband and I proceeded to Greenbelt, Makati to have an-hour of massage in The Spa, Greenbelt. We checked out first the restaurants in Greenbelt 5 so that made us decide where to dine in. Our options were: Chateau 1771, The Maison, Myron’s Place and Fish Out of Water. We finally decided to check out and try The Maison. It was an overly delicious dinner at The Maison. We made thr right choice. We ordered the Chef’s Salad, Seafood Marinara and a 300gm Fillet Mignon steak! Whoo!, lean mean that was! Yummy and truly juicy. I want to go back here to try their famous and big serving of Ribs. It was a well-spent anniversary celebration!
