I still have my standing dream to have a swimming pool in our house someday. I recently went to a friend’s house and I adore the small lap pool they have at the back of their house. I asked if it is expensive to maintain one and was surprised to know that the rate is actually manageable. My friend mentioned about this company who practically cleans their pool. The group claims to use already intellichlor salt cell, which is the easiest, most effective, and convenient way to keep pool water sparkling clean and sanitized. Oh, it is something for us to consider. Maybe not in our current place but hopefully when we are blessed to have a new property.

No, didn’t attend a wedding yet in France but it was the theme of the wedding of one of the known Chef in the city. They created a French wedding theme with all the Al Fresco set-up. Too bad, I wasn’t able to take pictures but they even had to get those best French bistro furniture which they rented from a known event stylist in the Metro. I love the look and the feel of the entire venue. Of course the food is superb! This kind of event is worthy to attend.

Just recently came from a trip with friends in Malaysia. Well, that’s another post all together but I just have to say that shopping in Ikea there was one of our best escapades. Too bad we only went there on our last day and we were all rushing back to our hotel to pack our stuff as we will be picked up at 3pm to go to the airport. There are so many nice furniture and home furnishing we saw in Ikea at a very reasonable price. There were even log furniture available. How I wished I bought that kiddie table and chairs, which could have been perfect for my kids’ room. I was able to buy few kitchen stuff, frames and lamps as well. It was a worthy trip after all.

Oh I want something like this for my kid’s room. Well, not as big as this one and color of the wood could be in white instead. But I really need a space-saving book shelf to store all my kids books. All their books have occupied already all the existing shelves in their room and we still have some in the other room. But since we are already fixing the nursery room, we need to free the space in the said room. I wonder if our local home depot store has such item like the one above with nylon levelers as well to keep the shelves screwed together. What I saw previously only are portable boards to install in the wall.

I think we need to get new dvd storage like this one…

I wonder where I could get one. I think I better check out some home stores. We have a number of DVDs and CDs just placed in a plastic box. We need to organize it soon as we need a space from the guest room. We do intend to convert the room as the nursery room of the coming baby. I still have few months to organize everything. Good luck to me!

When you are doing a construction project you almost always have a budget you have to stick to. This can be at times frustrating as you want to do everything you have in mind. When you are building your stairs the same principles apply. So you will have a budget for just the stair project. You want to get as much as you can for the price you are going to be paying. A good idea is to look online for your parts. Online stores generally don’t have the same overhead as your local hardware supplier and can pass some of the discounts on to the customer. For example you can find stair tread at a heavily discounted price from all the suppliers in your area. If you want the upgrades you can use the savings to upgrade the materials you want. If you wanted an exotic look you can get some of the exotic woods that usually cost more.

Happy that we are finally done with our project for the repainting of the house facade. It has been a plan since December of last year and we were supposed to let the painter do his job while we were in the US. But because of the kids getting sick, we have to push back the plan. Good thing we were able to arrange for it already last week. The painter finished the job in 3 days. We asked to do minor repairs in our roof as well. Next project would be to check out wood blinds online and from the stores as we plan to change all our roman blinds already come summer.

Off to the mall today to check out ironing boards. Apparently, our house help broke our existing one. I wonder what she has been doing with it since I know that the one i previously got is a sturdy one. I need to buy today since there are tons of clothes to iron including my clothes/uniforms for the upcoming events this October. Can you advise me what brand is good?

Our December travel vacation is fast approaching and i am making a number of lists already. One, I need to make a new list again of all the godchildren my husband and I have. I need to start shopping for them since we will be gone for the season. Oh yeah, I am a good godmother who never fails to give gifts for my godchildren during Christmas. Second, I also need to make a list of things I would need to get in outlets and stores in US. To say that I am excited is actually an understatement! (lol!). The only concern now is how to save enough so I could do a shopping splurge while we are there. Topping my list is actually to look for some nice and cute Childrens Bedding. We are rearranging the kids room so they can start sleeping on their own room by next year. I also need to get some pretty lamps and accessories to complement a girly room. Aside from that, I am also thinking to get some decal stickers which we can use to aesthetically decorate the walls of the room. On the other hand, I am also looking forward in buying a new set of cookwares. I hope to find a good deal on a Calphalon set. I want to get the non-stick 14-pieces set. Gosh, but we need to travel all the way to Gilroy Premium Outlet just to buy it at a great price. I hope I can get to convince my husband to travel extra 4 hours for it. Hmm, I’m sure my list will be a lengthy one. I better finish it now.

How do you properly keep personal documents? I have a whole pile of documents from our personal records, bank statements, credit card bills and receipts even insurance policies. I was even surprised that I am even keeping those previous quotes including an rv insurance quote! I wonder why I have those
I searched through a cabinet in my home office and I found credit card bills and charge slips even dated like 2009! I think I better start fixing these documents. I am thinking to buy a nice accordion folder to sort and compile everything. I will start with that. I hope to really work on this soon. There are just so many things to fix in the house. I cannot believe that we have accumulated so much junk for just more than 2 years. I better put order on this. I will devise a plan. Wish me luck!
