I think we need to get new dvd storage like this one…

I wonder where I could get one. I think I better check out some home stores. We have a number of DVDs and CDs just placed in a plastic box. We need to organize it soon as we need a space from the guest room. We do intend to convert the room as the nursery room of the coming baby. I still have few months to organize everything. Good luck to me!

We were cruising along Ortigas trying to find a polaris ranger parts when we found ourselves in Home Depot instead. We went inside to check some stuff for the house and found this nice low double deck bed frame for the kids.

Together with this 4-drawer cabinet which were at 20% discount.

Though the kids still co-sleep with us (and we are keeping that system until they still like it to be that way), we decided to get the beds because we are re-decorating their room. We also got them a new study table so we can actually train them to have a good study habits. I will take photos of their new room once installed.

Our December travel vacation is fast approaching and i am making a number of lists already. One, I need to make a new list again of all the godchildren my husband and I have. I need to start shopping for them since we will be gone for the season. Oh yeah, I am a good godmother who never fails to give gifts for my godchildren during Christmas. Second, I also need to make a list of things I would need to get in outlets and stores in US. To say that I am excited is actually an understatement! (lol!). The only concern now is how to save enough so I could do a shopping splurge while we are there. Topping my list is actually to look for some nice and cute Childrens Bedding. We are rearranging the kids room so they can start sleeping on their own room by next year. I also need to get some pretty lamps and accessories to complement a girly room. Aside from that, I am also thinking to get some decal stickers which we can use to aesthetically decorate the walls of the room. On the other hand, I am also looking forward in buying a new set of cookwares. I hope to find a good deal on a Calphalon set. I want to get the non-stick 14-pieces set. Gosh, but we need to travel all the way to Gilroy Premium Outlet just to buy it at a great price. I hope I can get to convince my husband to travel extra 4 hours for it. Hmm, I’m sure my list will be a lengthy one. I better finish it now.

It has been a buzz in Twitterlandia with my online friends for the past few weeks. All mommies are wanting to get hold of these cute animal bags for their sons and daughters. I wasn’t spared to the trend. I also indulge myself to buy for my two girls. It was hard to choose what design to get as I want to buy all of them. I asked each my girls to choose what they like and instantly Bianca said she likes the Penguin…

Margaux of course would choose something in pink, so I got the mouse for her…

Both bags are so cute. In fact, the other designs are lovely too.
Now, the husband complains that I always buy for the girls but I seldom do get something for him. Oh, he was just teasing because he actually just want me to get him new sport tees from coogi. Let me check the site and spoil my man this time

I have been reading up some articles on how to disciple kids not to watch TV. It has been a struggle recently especially that school has started so I have to get the kids back to the idea of no watching anymore especially at night. Never mind the omnidirectional antennas that the husband recently got for the kids’ TV set because I am really inclined to let them sleep early every night since they have to wake up early every morning. I hope someone can really share to me a foul-proof way on how to implement this rule!

Before I even buy my cutting tools for our kitchen, i need to prepare for all items needed by my girls for the start of the school! Tomorrow is back to school’s first day. I am one excited mommy especially that Margaux is already an upcoming grade 1. I now have an official grade schooler. On the other hand, excited also for Bianca’s nursery class. But I am also anxious of all items that I need to prepare like sticker labels, bag tags, supplies, etc. There are just so many things to think about. I hope to finish all my errands today.

The husband and I have been in a lot of talks lately regarding investments and insurance benefits. We would like to as much as possible secure already the future of the kids and our retirement plan. I have been talking to two agents already since last week about availing another mutual fund and increasing our insurance policies with an inclusion already of a social security disability benefit. It is something significant to both of us and we would like to finalize it really soon.

Our birthday gift for Margaux is a new bike. She has been wanting to get a bigger once since she can already bike without the 2-wheel support at the back. Her old one is also too small for her already. Now, she and her dad can bike together in the morning. It could be a good way for the husband to exercise as well. We are even thinking to get those hitch bike racks so that they can even bring their bicycle whenever we would go for a quick out-of-town trip.

She celebrated her 6th Birthday party in school about 12 days earlier. I practically prepared everything last week of February already. I wanted her to have a morning tea party so when the teacher offered that she celebrates it on their last day, I immediately grabbed the opportunity. It will be a perfect theme since they will have a picnic in the garden.
Her sample invitation was posted here.
I am proud of what i have prepared for her party. Here are the details:
The hats…these were different colored hats given to the classmates.

Her lootbox and what’s inside…

The cake and the cupcakes…

The mugs and the juices…the mugs were also souvenirs.

The birthday girl enjoyed her party very much.

It was a great way to celebrate with her classmates in Kindergarten. Next year, birthday parties are no longer allowed in grade school level

Before I even begin the lcd tv reviews that my husband is asking me to do since we are getting a new once for the guest room, I wanted to share the cute summer hats I got in time for my daughter’s birthday party in school. These were super cheap from Divisoria Mall but a super hit to the kids. A very appropriate nice detail to the mad hatter’s tea party of Margaux.

Glad her stocks of Cetaphil came in already before we finally run out with one. My little Bianca has atopic dermatitis so careful skin care is really considered. Though her derma pediatrician says that she will definitely outgrow it, I am just worried about other skin problems she might develop like nodular acne. That’s why I monitor carefully her food intake, the lotions we put, etc. Good thing, it is more controlled now. Though there are occasional flare ups of skin irritations especially on her folds, constant and proper skin care would actually matter. Now, we are ready for the trip to the beach. Will bring a bottle to moisturize her skin every hour.

The kids didn’t get new textbooks from us. Instead, the husband got them a garden playset.

They love it. They enjoy playing with it every afternoon. But good thing some gave them other toys too and some even includes books. Their play room needs a lot of cleaning as well. There are just so many toys which have piled up around it. I need some time to sort it out even their clothes.

I am still not done with my christmas shopping. I think I need to allot few more days to actually finish everything. I am loosing some ideas on what to give to teenage nephews. Any suggestions? I saw some nice jackets from Jimmy Jazz. I wonder if my nephews would actually like those coogi clothing but they are just so cute. In fact, they offer great discounts and even guarantees that items would be shipped before christmas. I particularly love their men’s outwears. Saw something that my husband would even like.
