Moments with Kids…

Just have to savour those quality time with my kids. Those are just priceless. Time really flies so fast. I really make sure to make the most of it especially on every moment that I could get to be with them on my travels.

The picture above was taken just about when we arrived in Shangri-la Mactan in Cebu. It was an early flight from Manila but the kids were both up and excited. I was feeling a little sad here since the husband cannot join us last minute with the trip. But totally surprised when he showed up on our second night. Yes, he missed us that much, lol! We have other travels lined-up for next year and of course I am excited for all of it. Traveling with the family especially with my kids makes my heart pounder. Though I really need to learn more on some top rated fat burner as the next trip we will be up to will be in Shangri-la Boracay! Excited much!

Shangrila Mactan

The above was the view from our room the last time we stayed in Shangrila Mactan. My kids love the place to bits. I remember one of my daughters saying “It’s amazing, I cannot believe this place, it has everything!” And yes indeed, it practically has everything. A beach, pools, spa, time zone arcade, play area for kids, lots of restaurants to choose from. We would definitely go back to the place. And I hope the fat burner I am taking would work already so I would look better with my swimsuit. Notice that I won’t post any of my pictures on swimsuit as I do not want a scandal here, lol!

On Wish list…Mulberry Alexa

Yes, this one is on my wish list…my unending wish list for bags…

I know it looks like a typical high schooler bag but it is indeed a perfect travel bag too, (reason why I like it!). If you are a regular follower of this blog, by now you know that the two most important luxury I fancy in life is bags and travel. These two can actually work together (wink!).

Mulberry Alexa is actually one of the most sought after bags recently. It belongs to those arena of the “IT bags.” The bag was actually named after an It girl too, Alexa Chung. This bag can be seen carried by most picky fashionistas. It is not the type of monogram bags that are easily copied and mocked. I particularly loved this color above, called plum because it is just so yummy and gorgeous. Mulberry, aside from Balenciaga bags can totally pull off a distressed leather bag. It has a very functional shape and its leather is just so luxurious whether from afar or close by.

For now, it remains on my list waiting to be ticked!

Travel…Travel…Travel…

After coming from a quick vacation, here I am again planning for another one. This time with the kids. How I wish we could already plan for an Orlando vacation but that destination might have to wait for years still. Instead, just planning for a quick getaway either during the semestral break or during the christmas break. Any recommended destinations that the kids might love? I am still hoping there would be airline promos available during those dates. Otherwise, good luck on the exorbitant prices!

HK Itinerary again…

Yes, I need to prepare for an HK itinerary again. Flying to HK on first week of September with my parents this time as my treat for them. Don’t have plans of spending the night in Disneyland, instead we would just move around the city. Hoping we could still go for a day tour in Macau just for sight-seeing. I intend to get a new lingerie and new clothes from H&M. I would try my best not to bring home another bag, lol!

Irresistible Baguio…

While consulting with our interior designer on where to get the door knobs that I emailed her last week, (yes we are changing for security purposes), she mentioned to me about this…

I immediately asked the husband if we could schedule a trip here while it’s on promo. And so happy that he agreed! Since there would be 2 long weekends (holidays) on August, we are taking the opportunity to have that quick getaway on one of those weekends. I’m looking forward to just lounge around in the suite we got.  It would be a great time to relax.  I hope the weather would cooperate.

Can’t help…

but look for options for another travel! Yay, the husband would probably not be too happy about it.  One, it is because he really cannot find time to excuse himself for work especially after coming from a 3-week vacation, Second, it’s another expense.  Unless I am willing to shoulder everything.  There are so many destinations I would like to go to still within the year.  I wonder if any of these plans would push through. This country is one of those because of their sale period.  This one is a great deal…

Starting to pack..

Yes, we would start packing already. I wonder how all of these things would fit into two balikbayan boxes…

Goodluck to us. It’s another long haul trip. I hope the kids would be behave again or else, I might just take some sleep pills so I won’t be bothered with their fussiness, lol! I suddenly want to come home also. I miss the house actually. Also, it makes me look forward for another vacation next year. Our family is planning for another trip. Maybe spending our christmas in California in 2011. That would be awesome!

Coming back…

We are still here but we are already thinking of our next visit here in the West Coast. We might come back again next year in time for an important family celebration. We are hoping to spend the Christmas and New Year here next time. It would definitely a great one if ever that pushes through. I just love traveling. It’s like my treatment for depression or stress, lol! We are soon coming home to Manila and we would be back to the real world. Need to work hard again so we could have enough money to travel again. It’s quite expensive especially if you are traveling as a family, but it is so priceless when you have good times as a whole family.

Trunki?

trunki

With our upcoming trip, I have been thinking whether to get a separate luggage for the kids.  I came across Trunki in the mall.  I love it actually ever since I saw it.  But I am just wondering if it is really worth to get it.  Since I have two girls, I’m sure I’ve got to get one for each of them.  I hope they would really carry it though.  They’ve got cute new designs this time.  I love the idea though that kids can pack, carry and ride on their Trunki.  Should they get tired, we can also easily and safely pull them along.   Hmm, still thinking, should I get for the kids?

Summer Promo of Camp John Hay Manor

The husband might attend a golf tournament in Baguio next week. I am so hoping to join especially after seeing this promo…

Oh, but I’ve got tons of meetings as well next week so I am not sure if I can still reschedule most of it. Work is just tremendous this time as I am trying my best to finish all tasks on hand so I won’t be bothered when we go on vacation on May. But heard that it is also very hot in Baguio recently so it may also not be a good idea to go up. Oh well, will just see…

Gearing up for the trip

With just a little over a month before our trip to the US, i am all geared up for it. Already thinking to get additional memory for our digital cameras (both for our Sony Cyber Shot point and shoot and our Nikon D60). I am pretty sure we need those extra memory and even extra batteries to keep taking shots of our good times there.  I am checking already some digital camera and accessories buying guide online.  The husband is even planning to get a new lens for his Nikon DLSR.  I wonder if it is cheaper to get there instead.  I’ve got to ask feedback from my photographer’s friends.

A Weekender Bag…

Lesportsac

Thanks to Jane for buying the above LeSportsSac Large when their family went to Guam last January. I actually failed to get it the last time we were in Guam last November. I trusted her instinct and I was so happy with what she got for me. Not to mention that the price is also a great steal!  On sale at $83!!! ;) I love the prints! :-) It would be a perfect weekender bag/carry on bag to hold the girls’ stuff  for our trip to US. This would do while I “still cannot” afford an LV Keepall 50! :P

Travel Expo Deals…

So what did we finally get from the Travel Expo deals last Feb 19-21?

We decided to take Philippine Airlines again for our trip to the US.  I was open in the idea of checking other airlines and I am more amenable with a flight with lay-away so I can tire the kids (lol!) ;) and they would just sleep through the flight.  But after checking all travel agencies in the Expo, we were down to two options:  China Airlines vs Philippine Airlines.  An almost $200 price difference per passenger matters a lot if we are flying as a family.  China Airlines was $187 less than PAL. But it was the husband who decided.  We went for PAL.

We were able to get extra 3000 miles per passenger since we booked and paid during the expo. These were on top of the 14,000 miles to accumulate for MLA-LAX-MLA.   Worth the cueing for the long line.  I actually went Friday to book our flight already and we just went back Saturday to pay for it.  Good thing we were allowed not to line up anymore when we just paid for the tickets.

We almost earned close to 75,000 miles with that transaction as we even used our CC that accummulates points for miles conversion.  Those points can go a long way already.  Yahoo!  Great deal indeed! Meaning, got to use those miles again for another trip! ;)
