The Shopaholic In Me

We are really getting excited about the construction of the dream house and now even excited to check out items to furnish it. Even the in-laws based abroad are happy for us. In fact, they do understand our reason for not being able to visit them this holiday season. They were very supportive of our decision. They were offering to get us some nice pieces of decorations for the house. I’m also starting to buy some items online like new casseroles, new coffeemaker, new kitchen knives, new juicer and a very nice fruits and vegatables chopper. And with the black friday sale coming up, I’m sure I’ll go crazy again with all the items I have been watching to go on sale. Now my concern is to just get an international shipping quote to box all this items and be sent to me. My inlaws have been relying to International Movers whenever they need to send something for us because of their very competitive rates and reliable service. So I guess, will just use their service as well.

MC Home Depot Ortigas

Ok, I still consider this as a mall anyway (lol!).  I went here with my mom to help her find some new planters. When we arrived, we were directed to shops where they sell landscaping and gardening materials. But my mom saw some particular decorative planters that my sister-in-law showed her online.  She said she saw nice indoor planters, outdoor planters, garden planters, window box planters and was even hoping she could find those high end planters. She actually brought pictures of these planters when we went to MC Home Depot.

We were arguing already while we were on one of the shops because she can’t figure out what she wants. Actually, she can’t find the items she was looking for based on the pictures she brought but I was telling her to just choose among the selections. Now, there it goes and shows, where I also got that attitude of being indecisive especially in shopping. So I called up my sister-in-law and asked her as to where she got the pictures she showed my mom. My sister-in-law said she saw it from Planterixchange, which offers high quality residential and commercial planters. No wonder why the items my mom was rooting are nice pieces. This online store offers the widest selection of any kind of planters. From my mom’s selection, it even includes product descriptions of each and its prices.  And since we can’t find anything that closely match to the ones she likes, we went home empty handed, with no single planter on hand.   We weren’t able to buy any of what she wants.  No decorative planter for our kitchen. No new indoor planter for our  door. No new outdoor planter for the porch. No garden planter for the garden. No window box planter by the kitchen window. And no high end planter that she really wants. Would likely just order it online and ask a cousin to box it for us to send back home, because my mom is dead set in just getting those.

Gee, she’s also hardcore in shopping!

Never got the chance to go to Ikea in Singapore. Too bad.  So I just fancied in drooling on these great products for the house which I found today.

I have never seen fireplaces like these before. But these are both beautiful I must say. These stainless steel fireplace accessories are availble from Blomus. I feel all over the place today. I have a number folders scattered in my work station and everything is a mess. Then in our room, toys are all over. Old magazines and books not properly put on shelf. I feel like the room is too small. Ah, clutter is the best term. I have been complaining. Am I nesting? No, I hope not. But I just have an urge to clean up today and so I did. This morning, as early as 6am, I have been delegating already to the maids what parts of the house will they clean. I particularly wanted a mess-free room by this afternoon. I have assigned the maids to clean, general that is, some parts of the house. I told them to neatly tuck first those things not readily needed under the bed. I am replacing all those canvass bags I bought from the mall to store items under the bed. I’m waiting for the delivery of my box from US since I ordered online sets of 8 of the underbed storage boxes. I learned from my friend who actually uses a box like this to protect clothes and other items in a practical way.

Its size is perfect to store anything under the bed. Great for us who has limited space in the room.
