My birthday gift…

As I celebrate my birthday tomorrow, I decided to get myself a good investment. After carefully reviewing my options and looking at www.wholesaleinsurance.net, I decided to get another insurance coverage coupled with a mutual fund investment. My husband was very happy with my decision and truly supports me with this venture. I realized, I need to save up big time if I plan to retire early from my work. I should start working on my retirement fund. I found the best option for me and decided to get in before I turn 3_ this year! Happy Birthday to me!

Securing the future…

The husband and I have been in a lot of talks lately regarding investments and insurance benefits. We would like to as much as possible secure already the future of the kids and our retirement plan. I have been talking to two agents already since last week about availing another mutual fund and increasing our insurance policies with an inclusion already of a social security disability benefit. It is something significant to both of us and we would like to finalize it really soon.

I, too is on South Beach Diet already (improvised!) The husband finished his 14-days straight Phase 1. And he has lost about 14lbs for that span of time. We stopped ordering for the meantime and I am taking my own measures to prepare his food. I have patterned it still to the diet and is strictly following only the food allowed. Since I am now making the effort to prepare the food he would bring with him daily, I realized I should also try it myself so I’m on 3rd day already without Carbo, Bad Fats and Sweets. I don’t actually feel hungry at all since I made sure I am getting a good portioning for all my meals. No updates yet as to how many pounds I lost already but I will post it here soon. For the meantime, I need to make a research about Waste Management Software, since we need it for the new business we are venturing. We need something that has a low monthly fee and can be hosted online. Our new business would need it since we need all scheduling and tracking functionality of our invetories.

Owning a house…

is one of the topics recently with online friends. We are comparing notes. Apparently, there’s a comparison in buying a lot and building your own house versus buying a condominium or townhouse. I am in favor of the first one. According to the survey we did plus the research online we had before we acquired our property, owning your own lot is a better investment. This is also according to Real Property Management site, which is a full service management company for those who would like to own a single house. This site actually receives the “Franchise of the Year Honarable Mention” award. They have available units worldwide and have property managers who are very much aware on what property to offer based on one’s need. I will take pictures of the ones for sale within the area so my friends could get inspiration on what I am saying.

and I thought we would! lol! But got word from husband last night about the good news that he got a recent pay increase. Isn’t it great? This is a good blessing to help us pay most of the appliances we got through deferred payment in credit card! But nevertheless, a Payday Loan is a good option in time of need. And what better way to actually get it is to source out online for those No Fax Payday Loan available. As in other companies require individuals to fax financial documents before approval, this is not the case for the payday loans mania. Would refer this to family and friends instead. For the meantime, I hope the husband would give in to my request for my bday present on June. The pay increase would be of help! Hope he is reading this! Hahaha!

Too many expenses…

I am almost about to complain because of too many expenses. My heads are turning! There are just so many things to purchase for the new house. Imagine that we are buying mostly new stuff from decors to everyday kicthen gadgets. But God is so good in providing anyway. I guess we really do not need to buy everything in one sitting. The husband reminds me to pause a little and savor the time that we are saving up to buy few more items in the next couple of months. It would be a work in progress. He is probably right. Atleast, I do not really need to get a Personal Loan. But in case we would, I am pretty sure instant loan approval can be obtained by applying online in Personal Loans Mania which offers very competitive rates. I’m bookmarking it as I might need it in the future.

Credit Cards?

My gawd, for 2 consecutive days, I received credit cards from 2 different credit companies! What are they doing? I didn’t even applied for it and never have plans of really getting new credit cards. For me, it could be temptation so I am only activating one card, which has a LOWER credit limit. Besides, I am very loyal to the card that gives me travel reward points! We are close to having 2 roundtrip HK tickets, which I am hoping to use by next year. Still charging and swiping the card to get 4 roundtrip HK tickets instead. This would make the husband agree for a trip next year!

Read from Goodhousekeeping Magazine how to use credit card wisely. It says that it can work for you or againts you. A credit limit of 50K allows you to spend the 50K even before you receive your income but it doesn’t give you additional spending money of 50K. Gets?

But because credit card processing nowadays is becoming easy and card companies just send you free cards, here are some tips to remember to make that plastic card your bestfriend and not regret being affiliated with any.

1. Charge only what you can afford to pay. I read from a book before that your total payments for debts, loans including credit card bills should not be more than 15 to 20 percent of your take-home pay. Now, do your own math. Set only a monthly limit of charges.

2. Pay your credit card bill on time and as much as possible in full. I totally agree with this. You are avoiding the finance charges which is usually like 3% of your total balance. At the very least, pay the minimum amount due every month.

3. Check your bill against copies of sales slips for your purchases. I have a system for this. I have an envelope which I keep for all my charge slips. When I receive my credit card bill, I check it vis-a-vis all the slips to ensure that I am charged correctly.

4. Be aware of your monthly cut-offs. Doing this would make you plan out payments. You don’t want to charge too many in one monthly cycle.

5. Check out discount offers and 0% offers. Being familiar which boutiques or restaurants offer discounts and freebies by using the credit card can make you save more money. Also, being aware of some 0% offers especially for bulk puchases can be a great way to work within your budget.
