I have been reading up some articles on how to disciple kids not to watch TV. It has been a struggle recently especially that school has started so I have to get the kids back to the idea of no watching anymore especially at night. Never mind the omnidirectional antennas that the husband recently got for the kids’ TV set because I am really inclined to let them sleep early every night since they have to wake up early every morning. I hope someone can really share to me a foul-proof way on how to implement this rule!

Before I research on tech jobs that could be available online for my cousin who recently graduated this year, let me share this new gadget i got…

Got this the very first week that it was launched in Apple distributor shops. I initially said I am not going to buy but when someone got interested with my iPad first gen, I immediately reserved a unit for me. Thank goodness, there was one left in iStudio in greenhills. It was meant to be. My other iPad was sold in less than 30 minutes in Twitterlandia. How I love my friends there who buys so quickly with anything you can sell
So happy with this lighter iPad. Still got the 64gb in 3gs. And of course, I got the smart cover too in my favorite color…

I wonder where to buy a GPS for the car. Is it already available in the country? I saw from a friend the zumo motorcycle gps but he cannot direct me where to get the one for the car. I wanted to get one to install in our van so it could help the driver when we ask him to go to a certain place to pick us up. I hope the ones available are accurate and have really good instructional device along the roads.

Ok, my EQ is not working again as I really want to get a new phone. Now, it’s a choice between getting the iphone4 now or wait for the release of iPhone5. I wonder if Globe Telecoms will carry the new gadget right after it has been released in the US market. I have read some articles as for the release of iPhone5 but there is no single entry that defines the exact release. Most are actually speculations. Some says it will be by June – July 2011. Others says it can be early 2012. It’s a major question now since most are actually waiting for it. A number are convinced that iPhone5 will truly break all records of iPhones in terms of number of orders it will bring. I am convinced that I want one! But should I get iPhone4 first and then just sell it when the 5 gets released? I am expecting that my 3gs will be lesser in value once the iPhone5 is released. At least now, I can still sell it at a good rate because it’s less than a year and in a very good condition. Now, if you are interested with my iPhone3gs, send me a bid! lol! It’s 32gb and in white. I will throw in all the cases I have plus the MILI battery pack! Isn’t a good deal?
For the meantime, here are the expected features of iPhone5: courtesy of Buzzle.com:
* 10.2 MP Camera
* Video Conferencing
* Better Storage (128MB internal storage and 100mbps downloading speed)
* Ultra-thin body (It’s even more sleeker than Apple iPod Touch 4G)
* Retina display
*3D features (Ah, I’m not 100 per cent sure about it)
* Would be available in white color too
* Extended battery life
* Face recognition
* In-built GPS
*Wireless syncing with Apple iTunes
If all of the above features are true, I am convinced to get one. I hope I can hold on to my EQ and wait for it and not kill time by getting an iPhone4 first. But I might as well if I get a very good bid!
lol!

Ok, Patience is really a virtue and I am guilty for not practicing it! Argh! I just got my iPad last November as an advance Christmas Gift and now I regret not waiting for the new release which will be out already this week!

So what’s new with this gadget? Let me count the number of times I almost cried over not waiting for iPad2!
1. According to the Apple store, it is 33% thinner and up to 15% lighter than iPad1.
2. It’s definitely faster 2x with it’s Dual-core A5 chip.
3. It’s 9x faster in loading graphics making applications load faster.
4. It has a 10-hour batter life, much longer to the performance of iPad1. That means, you can probably watch about 5 movies non-stop and it can totally last you for some long-haul trips.
5. It has two cameras (one in front and one at the back). So you can do face-to-face chatting to all your networks worldwide.
6. Lastly, and somehow important to me…The iPad Smart cover that comes in cute 10 bright colors. Not to mention that those are italian dyed leather. I want a pink of course!
Oh well, I guess I cannot do justice to get the new release of iPad if mine is barely 4 months old! I would probably just wait for the iPad4 instead! Yes, I think I’m even missing iPad3

I accompanied my cousin yesterday who was looking for PDAs since she has plans to purchase one. We went to different shops to look for the best one for her. I actually ended up getting a new gadget for me instead. I purchased a MiLi Power Spring for my iPhone. Love it! I always have a concern regarding running out of batteries within a day of use of my iPhone especially if I am always online. So now, no worries anymore since I have this…

It’s the thinnest external battery for iPhone . Got this from A.Store in Eastwood Mall.
Capacity: 1600mAh /2000mAh
Input: DC5V/500mA
Charging time: 4 hours
Standby time: Up to 360 hours
Talk time: Up to 6hours on 3G
Up to 13.3hours on 2G
Internet Use: Up to 6 hours on 3G
Up to 10.6 hours on Wi-Fi
Audio play: Up to 36hours
Video play: Up to 10.6 hours
Dimension: 124(L)X65(D)X18(T)mm
Ok, so much for this, need to still help my cousin the PDA she’s looking for. Any suggestions?

Last night, I was cleaning files from my laptop when I came across the previous videos of the kids when they were still small. There were videos when Margaux was starting to talk and we cannot understand a single word. Another video was when Bianca was starting to walk and we would practice her walking along the corridor. Of course, I watched over again my birthing videos of the kids. It is really nice to capture these memories as it always bring happy thoughts. Now, I realized that we should consider getting a good camcorder that could capture these fun memories as a family. Would like to get something reliable and is known for quality. I am starting to read reviews online and also check the deals available like those from Buy.com. Any other recommendations?

With just a little over a month before our trip to the US, i am all geared up for it. Already thinking to get additional memory for our digital cameras (both for our Sony Cyber Shot point and shoot and our Nikon D60). I am pretty sure we need those extra memory and even extra batteries to keep taking shots of our good times there. I am checking already some digital camera and accessories buying guide online. The husband is even planning to get a new lens for his Nikon DLSR. I wonder if it is cheaper to get there instead. I’ve got to ask feedback from my photographer’s friends.

It’s one of the husband’s gift(s) for me. Initially, I really wanted an Iphone but I just realized that a touch-screen mobile won’t work for me especially that I am used to sending sms messages even while driving. I’m getting the hang of this phone already. I love the freedom that I can check and answer emails, open attachments, edit word and excel files and now using it as well to keep track of all my calendar schedules. I finally said goodbye to my Tungsten W! (I just use it now as a calculator, hehehe!)

Since I was all affected with rankings and all, I decided to just let go and let loose last weekend. I spent quality time with family, with the kids and Dicky. I had an event last saturday and so Dicky used Amanda to download some mac games from Phelios. He then showed me a great new mac game that he got. So off to my in-laws place yesterday, Dicky and I played this new game the whole afternoon while the kids are asleep. It is one of the newest rpg games available from Phelios, which can give you a step-by-step procedure to download the game and even give a tutorial about the game itself. Now, that is bonding! lol!

We slept late last night. Instead of watching DVDs, Dicky and I tried playing Mac Poker using Amanda. This is actually one of the games he downloaded from the internet. It is sometimes hard to look for a site to play online poker but he found this Pacific Poker online.
He even reviewed the Poker Stars which is laid out better than any other online poker available. This can be accessed just by hovering the mouse over the top of the buttons of the page. Everything is organized and doesn’t hog the memory of any computer. There is even Fulltilt Poker that has tied up with Mac Poker Online to offer readers some bonus code. We are actually getting addicted in playing different games with Amanda especially now that Dicky has some free time. Dicky has been patient to teach me the rules of the game and I must admit, it is a pretty interesting one. Although I still need to get used with the combinations, I need to familiarize myself about it. It’s purely for fun. No intention to do it as gambling though.

I cut-off already my Fitness First Membership last May since I have not been going to the gym for the last 4 months! Gee, I just wasted money! I blame myself for being such a slacker on exercising. The husband has not been exercising as well but we both need to get fit before December so we are making some deals around here. Gifts galore will be showered by Christmas if we hit our desired weights. We are making it a combined effort and I patterned it with Jacqui’s bet with Mike. So the verdict, the husband decided to buy a treadmill. Can anyone let me know what type of treadmill is a good buy? Where’s the best place to buy it? Been reading up from some treadmills guide from the treadmillsguru and the information there are very helpful. But I would also appreciate more inputs from those who really purchased already.

For those of you who doesn’t know yet, this is Amanda, my very sleek Macbook! I love everything about her. Although we had a love-hate relationship in our first few weeks, now I pretty know how to manage her already. They said that when you started to use an Apple, you won’t go back to a PC-based flatform anymore. I guess I am starting to feel that way already. I love every bit about her. The programs, managing files, photos, videos, etc and even playing free mac games that has been pre-installed to her. I enjoy playing the Wedding Dash mac game very much. And I love puzzle games so I have been addicted to Chuzzle for mac games.

I need to get a partner for Amanda. My existing printer is too old for her. I want to get a 3-in-1 machine. That is a printer, scanner and copier in one. My options are: big “Brother”, Epi for Epson and Hewlett for HP. Any one using any of the three? Will appreciate your feedback and recommendations.
(I’m pressured to decide within the week as Dicky’s been bugging me to dispatch my Compaq already. He is selling it by the way.)

Dicky and I are DVD fanatics. We do marathon watching for our favorite TV series like Grey’s Anatomy, 24 and now House. Dicky has been wanting to buy an LCD TV for our room to make watching DVDs a more wonderful experience. What’s a good brand for LCD TV that is worth its price? It could be our great gift to each other for our anniversary on May.
